Fitness throughout the alpine summer

We are the paradise for active holidaymakers.

Due to its location, in the middle of the Nockberge Biosphere Reserve and the proximity to the towns of Bad Kleinkirchheim and the Turrach, the Almdorf Seinerzeit is a paradise for active holidaymakers. Depending on the season, we climb peaks, knock off balls and hike kilometers of slopes. Can all this be accommodated in a single holiday you may ask? For the sporty guests, our innkeeper has tips ready for you:

Even in the hottest summer, pleasant temperatures still prevail on the alpine pastures. Early mornings and early evenings are the perfect times to keep fit. There is nothing better than experiencing the sunrise with a wonderful picnic at the summit and then jumping into one of the countless Carinthian lakes for refreshment and then falling into the pine beds in the evening satisfied and tired.

Mountain bike or E-Bike

Whether mountain bike or e-bike, pleasure tour or flow trail – with us everyone gets their money’s worth. A total of 138 varied tours are available for you. A beautiful tour is the Kärnten-Wasserreich Tour. A tour over asphalt, gravel roads, along with many springs, streams, and numerous refreshment areas.

Fun & Action at Lake Millstatt

Kayak, SUP and more

A particularly scenic lake awaits you. Optimal conditions for fun & action. Immerse yourself in the world of shallow water kayaking or discover hidden bays with a stand-up paddle(SUP). Did you know that Lake Millstatt also has a fascinating, diverse underwater world and offers attractive freely accessible dive sites?

Golf

Golf with panoramic view on 1.100 m

Carinthia’s highest golf course can be found in Bad Kleinkirchheim – only a few kilometers from the Almdorf Seinerzeit. If it is oppressively hot and humid elsewhere, then there are still pleasant temperatures there. The panorama of the Biosphere Reserve with its green meadows and forests with fragrant pines and the peaks of the Nockberge accompany you at every tee on the 18-hole course.

Searching for clues in the upland moor

Visit of the gem in the Nock mountains

A visit to the St. Lorenzener Hochmoor in the valley of the Gurktal Alps is necessary for all. It belongs to the list of wetlands of international importance. The centrepiece is a mountain pine raised bog which is surrounded by a moor forest, meadows, and a larch pine forest. Convincingly immerse yourself with this impressive flora and fauna.

Did you know that raised bogs are formed by water accumulation on an impermeable layer?
