As every year in August we can observe the Perseids in the sky. In pleasant warm midsummer nights the meteor shower of the Perseids invites to counting and wishing. The shooting stars are an annually recurring natural phenomenon. In the so-called shooting star night the Perseids achieve their peak. Around 10:00 pm, after a delicious BBQ buffet, we extinguish all artificial light in the Almdorf, and let you experience the magical shower of stars in the complete darkness of our mountains. In front of the chalets, at the village center and on our big field there is enough space for our guests and other friends.
On the weekends we also have a visit from the Planetarium Klagenfurt. Our expert astronomer, with laser pointer drawn, will show and explain all there is to discover in the night sky. The most shooting stars are expected from August 9 to 13. We wish in advance that you will find your way to us in August. It will be quite magical for sure.
